I'm so excited to be leaving for Japan in a few days! I've contacted my host family on Facebook, and they seem very nice. I have my student visa, my passport, and some new clothes and shoes. All I have left is to buy a gift for my host family. I've been told that candy is always a safe bet, so I'll head to Albanese Candy Factory, a local place and see what I can find. This summer has been full of emotions, and while I'm always swaying back and forth between stoked and frightened, either way in 3 days from now I'll be on a plane to Japan, ready or not!
I'm so looking forward to sharing this experience with all of you. This is the last time I'll have internet access until I get to Japan, so wish me luck!
Don't worry! You'll have a lot of fun and will learn so much and be a stronger person when this is all done! Be excited!
